Professional background

Maria Rousi is a graduate of the Faculty of Economic and Social Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. 

She enriched her career by working as a lawyer in a general practice law firm in the Democratic Republic of Congo, an experience that enabled her to broaden her perspective and develop great adaptability.

Back in Belgium, Maria was admitted to the French-speaking bar in Brussels in 2023. After practicing civil law, she chose to specialize in general criminal law and business criminal law, areas in which she feels a strong affinity. 

His atypical background enables him to adopt a global and nuanced approach to the cases entrusted to him.

Subjects include homicide, assault and battery, theft and extortion, handling stolen goods, drug offences, criminal conspiracy, criminal organization and human trafficking.

Maria is fully dedicated to defending her clients in all aspects of criminal law, representing defendants, defendants and victims before the relevant courts. She also accompanies suspects, victims and witnesses during Salduz hearings, ensuring that their fundamental rights are respected.

Practicing road traffic law on a daily basis, she defends her clients before the Police Courts, offering cutting-edge expertise in this specific field.

Bilingual in French and Greek, she is able to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
